Primary Carer
The secondary carer will be entitled to payment of one of the following amounts, based on length of continuous service:
Be undergoing IVF treatment.
Be expected to be unable to work for the duration of the treatment.
All employees depending on their length of service are entitled to paid special fertility treatment leave per calendar year.
To be eligible for IVF leave, employees must meet the following criteria:

The primary carer will be entitled to payment of one of the following amounts, based on length of continuous service:
Entitlement
Intended audience
All employees with 6 months' service
Current benefit
Accrues during paid leave.
Does not accrue during unpaid leave.
Continuity of service is maintained during parental leave, ensuring future entitlements are preserved.
Annual and long service leave:
Continues to accrue during paid parental leave.
Stops during unpaid leave unless the employee returns to work within 12 months.
A top-up is provided to cover missed contributions during unpaid leave, even if caps are exceeded.
Superannuation:
Westgold offers both paid and unpaid parental leave as outlined in the schedule above.

What types of parental leave are available and who is eligible?
5 days' paid leave (0–6 months service).
2 weeks' paid leave (6+ months service).
Available to both the person undergoing treatment and their partner.
Miscarriage: 5 days' paid leave per occasion (up to 20 weeks gestation).
Stillbirth: 13 weeks' paid leave for the primary carer, 6 weeks for the partner.
